Jackson Heights is a lovely neighborhood in Queens, New York which I’ve been lucky enough to live in since I moved here with my wife in April 2017.
I’ve discovered that it’s actually the most ethnically diverse neighborhood – not only in New York, but in the whole of America.
Guided Tours
On a monthly basis I run guided tours exploring some of the more hidden spots in this melting pot of cultures and sample cuisine from Asia & Latin America. In groups of up to 6 we learn why the neighborhood went from being built for the middle upper class to now housing a population where as many as 167 languages are spoken.

After visiting the world in a neighborhood, the 4 hour tour finishes in the evening at one of the best local venues for live music – a hidden gem with diverse cultural program.
